Coordinated residential work, start to finish.
Bigger residential work is what we built the shop around. We coordinate with your cabinet installer and counter shop so your pendants land over the island, your outlets land where the appliance actually sits, and your switch legs fit the lighting plan instead of the wall.
Kitchen remodels. Pendants, recessed cans, under-cabinet lighting, range circuits, fridge and microwave dedicated lines, GFCI placement at counters, dimmer-switch programming. We work to the cabinet installer’s schedule.
Lighting design and installs. Recessed cans laid out from a real plan, sconces wired to the right switch leg, exterior lighting and security floods, smart-switch retrofits.
Outlets, switches, repairs. Kitchen and bath GFCI replacements, outlet relocations, three-way switch troubleshooting, hot tub and pool circuits, dryer and range outlet upgrades.
Whole-house projects. Knob-and-tube replacement, generator integration, EV charger installation, mini split commissioning. Material we spec is commercial-grade wire, breakers, and boxes, not box-store specials.
The same standard as commercial. Permits in the Electrician’s name, labeled panel diagrams, photos at every rough-in. None of what we do is a premium service; it is the residential job done right.
Three steps. Fixed-price. Permitted.
Walk-through quote
Tyler walks the project with you and writes a fixed-price scope on the back of the walkthrough. Free, no obligation.
Permits and materials
Permits pulled in the master’s name. Commercial-grade wire, breakers, and boxes. No box-store specials, no field substitutions.
Install and labeled panel
Job closes with a labeled panel diagram taped inside the dead-front and photos for your records.
Common questions before booking.
For anything not answered here, the fastest reply is texting Tyler at (508) 818-3165 or sending project details through the contact form. Visit our gallery for recent work.
Do you do small repairs or only big projects?
Both. Small repair or whole-home renovation, the work follows the same sequence: walk-through, fixed-price scope, permitted install, labeled close-out.
Can you coordinate with my contractor or kitchen designer?
Yes. We schedule around the cabinet installer and the counter shop and we read the lighting plan before we drill anything. The pendants land where you want them, the outlets land where the appliance sits.
Are you licensed?
Yes. Tyler Hopkins is a Massachusetts Electrician (license earned 2024). Hopkins Electric LLC is fully insured and bonded. We pull permits in the Electrician’s name on every job that requires one.
Do you pull permits?
Yes. Every Hopkins job that requires a permit gets a permit, filed in Tyler’s master license number with the town wiring inspector. We don’t run unpermitted electrical work. The permit fee is included in the proposal. Permitted work is documented in your town’s permanent record, signed by the inspector to the master license, and matters for homeowner’s insurance, refinance, and resale.
Do you offer a free quote?
Yes. The walk-through quote is free. Tyler runs every quote personally and writes a fixed-price scope on the back of a real walkthrough, not a number pulled from a software tool.
