The story

Years in the trade. Built the right way.

Tyler Hopkins came up on bigger crews across southeastern Massachusetts before founding Hopkins Electric in Taunton. The shop runs the way he was trained to run jobs: tight boxes, labeled panels, clean line sets, and a customer who understands exactly what they paid for.

The license. Tyler is a Massachusetts Master Electrician, the ceiling of the trade in this state. The business is licensed and bonded as Hopkins Electric LLC for the full scope of residential remodels, commercial tenant fit-outs, Generac whole-home generators, Panasonic Gold mini splits, and the Mass Save rebate work that pairs with most of it.

The certifications. Generac authorized dealer plus certified warranty technician. Panasonic Gold mini split installer (reserved for shops meeting manufacturer training plus volume thresholds). Mass Save partner. Each of these unlocks specific work, warranties, or rebates that competitors can’t offer.

We’re small on purpose. Tyler is hands-on across estimates and installs and stays accountable through close-out. None of what we do is a premium service; it’s the residential and commercial job done right.

The standard. Every estimate is a fixed-price scope on the back of a real walkthrough. Permits are pulled in the Master Electrician’s name. Materials are commercial-grade wire, breakers, and boxes. Every job closes with a labeled panel diagram taped inside the dead-front for the next electrician to read.

Where we work. Bristol, Plymouth, and Norfolk counties, Taunton, Fall River, Attleboro, Brockton, Randolph, and Stoughton, within a 35-mile residential radius. Commercial inquiries welcome outside the radius.

Are you licensed?

Yes. Tyler Hopkins is a Massachusetts Master Electrician (license earned 2024). Hopkins Electric LLC is fully insured and bonded. We pull permits in the Master Electrician’s name on every job that requires one.

Do you pull permits?

Yes, on every job that requires one. We file with your town inspectional services office, attend rough-in and final inspections, and close out the permit when the work passes. Permits are included in the fixed-price scope.

Do you offer a free estimate?

Yes. The walk-through estimate is free. Tyler runs every estimate personally and writes a fixed-price scope on the back of a real walkthrough, not a number pulled from a software tool.

How fast can you come out?

Emergency calls (no power, exposed wiring, burnt outlets) jump to the front of the line, often same-day. For Taunton, Brockton, Fall River, Attleboro, Randolph, and Stoughton we typically schedule non-emergency work within two to five business days.

What materials do you spec?

Commercial-grade wire, commercial-grade breakers, and commercial-grade boxes. The same materials that pass commercial inspection on the first visit. Every panel closes with a labeled diagram taped inside the dead-front for the next electrician to read.
